I believe that it does work because it say Card's P/T and since the card has no abilities in the grave it is a 13/13.
IMO |

yes, if you have Platinum Angel on the battlefield and also if you are 0 life or under. |

The only way for that to work is to either have a bunch of other stuff out or you'd have to be at like 1-2 life.
I wouldn't want a combo that is that involved.
a better combo w/ electro is simply ball lightning. It isn't as original, but it would be a lot more effective. |

Now that's an interesting question. I still don't think it would be worth building a deck around such a combo, but it's cool thought.
I just hunted down the answer. It's actually covered in the Worldwake FAQ.
This is what it has to say:
* Death's Shadow's ability applies only while Death's Shadow is on the battlefield. In all other zones, its power and toughness are 13.
* If your life total is less than 0 and an effect (such as the one from an opponent's Abyssal Persecutor) is keeping you from losing the game, Death's Shadow's ability will actually increase its power and toughness. For example, if your life total is -2, Death's Shadow gets +2/+2.
Nice.
Lot's of potential to abuse the card when it's sitting in the graveyard. Morbid Bloom, Dead Reckoning, etc.
It wouldn't work with something like Kresh the Bloodbraided, though, since that would check the last known power while on the field (which would be zero or less if it's going to the graveyard), am I getting that right? |

is there any card in t2 that lets you pay a controlled amount of life?
then couple that with either swerve or negate to protect you from burn.
plat angel and donating a pacified death's shadow are a way to survive being in negatives
you could use goblin bushwaker, drop two shadow's and swing for a shit load out of no where?
the big question is why doesn't this bastard have trample?! |

Maybe if they reprint dark ritual and hatred.
Your best bet is ad nauseam for somewhat controlled life loss. Just remember what the highest CC card in your deck is and you should be able to get pretty low. |
